Cable stop distance is measured from the stop reference line on the probe (with the detector locked by the clamp) to the underside of the first stop.
Distance to first stop = 13 cm(5.35") + HeightOutOfGround + DistanceBelowGround
HeightOutOfGround is the height the aluminium tube protrudes above the ground surface.
DistanceBelowGround is the depth of the first reading below the ground surface.
If the measurements are made to where the cable joins the plug an appropriate correction of about 3cm (1") should be subtracted.
In the table below the metric values are based on HeightOutOfGround = 10cm; US based on HeightOutOfGround = 6"
Stop | Depth (cm) | Length (cm) | Depth (ins) | Length (ins) |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 20 cm | 40 cm | 8 " | 20 " |
