Probe for Windows: Import

Probe For Windows can read data files in various formats - Irrimax, Campbell Scientific, Cimis, Decagon, etc.

Import

• Input data file the name of the data file.
  Default: SITE1234.csv (1234 is the site number)
  The files should be in the Season Data Folder - eg C:\Prwin\2020
C:\Prwin\ is the data folder set on ProbeMenu/SystemOptions...
  
  and 2020 is the Season Number from SeasonsMenu/Edit
• Check Season Folder will create the season folder
• import definition file has details about the format of the data file is in an in the shared\ folder eg shared\Irrimax_6VSW.ipt
  Save will save changes to the import configuration.
  Save As will save to a new .IPT file.
• Import new data only - only data lines with dates later than the last readings date will be imported
• Add to existing column if on same day - allows a file to be imported into existing columns eg with dwu or keydata values
• Import only if - todo
• Check will check all sites for import status
• Which Sites filters the sites navigation list by import status

A preview of the first 20 lines in the file will be shown

Data Type

• Items on each line are typically separated with a comma
• The first line in a file is often a header line, with the first real data at line 2
• ArrayID is output by Cambell loggers to indicate diffrent types of data in the same data file
• Select the way the date is formatted in the file

Items

A column in the data file can be importred inot a row in teh readings scree

eg column 2 has the top VSW vaue, so will be imported to R1 in the readings screen

Values can akso be calculated during import

eg SiteGDWU is the DWAU calculate drom teh site formula, and will be imported to EDWU row in the readings screen

9993 is a calibration Serial Number, and will be imported to SN row. This will allow imported values to be adjusted/corrected

Post Gains

As lines are read, teh change in RZ1 is calcuklate (PDWU). If this goes negatibve a gain can be posted

A gain - rain or irrigation - can be automatically posted if an increase in total water content is found in the imported data

Look up

Allows a site ientifier to be cjhaged for a Prwin site number

Trace

Bceuas ether may be erros while configuring the import, the trace level for import can be changed
